Bacardi Existing Flavors

Different Beer Mats

Why is it that beer mats have to be all the and boring? the answer is they don't, so it is beyong me why companies are not more creative with their beer mats.

A few examples off where creativity is explored within the beer mat.

Why use cardboard? Here are just a few examples of other materials that are on offer.

Rubber re-usable beer mats. More practical and they are water resistant.

Alcohol Based Beer Mats

It has come to my attention that when researching existing alcohol beer mats, they are all very similar, not very exciting and very straight forward. here are a few examples...

Using Animals in Context

Examples of where the animal looks like it is meant to be there, eg. the shark looking like its cracked the screen swimming towards you as you can see below....

Adverts using Animal Skin

Here are a collection of poster campaigns that focus on animal skin.

A product company used animal skin to advertise their products, encorporating the product and the animal that the animal skin it is made from together. The animal rights people might have some things to say, but personally I think it is a great way of getting the message across.

A clever way of attracting the consumers attention, merging an animal with a different animal skin that it should have. It is mind boggling, in a similar way to when you write a colour in a different colour, and then ask someone what colour it is or what the word says eg.

RED
PINK

Posters Using Animals

Here are a collection of poster campaigns that I have found that use animals to sell a prodcut...

Bacardi- Animal Skin

For the animal campaign, the idea is to have animal skin adding a sense of texture to the poster. Below are google images of animal skins I found that I will be using throughout the brief.

Ice adverts

Since developing the research for the Bacardi brief... and developing ideas, I have come up with the idea of the catch phrase... 'Bacardi Flirt: The Perfect Ice Breaker.' Since deciding on this, I researched in to existing adverts that use the theme of ice.

The above image is an example of guerilla advertising, an area that really interests me. It is a new and inventive way, instead of using the standard ad shell, here, this beer brand have thought of the box, and produced a see-through block of ice to promote the new brand of beer Jupiler Blue.

This is a print based advert for a jar company, with the catch phrase, 'its not the best you can do. Conserve Simply.' I feel its a simple and effective way of portraying the idea that this jar keeps food as fresh as if it was in an ice cube in the fridge. Again an advert that is portraying a clever out of the box idea. A simple and boring product, using clever advertising to gain the audiences attention.

The ice cube has nothing to do with the product that is being sold here, but a paper based advert campaign for Olympus cameras use the block of ice to portray a message. They are suggesting that this camera can capture any scene of your life when you go out, so you can remember it for ever, just like the scenes that have been captured within the ice cube.

The two adverts above have given me the idea of using promotional material, that is not the standard flyer, but thinking of new and exciting ideas that makes potential consumers think WOW! The idea of the ice trays is perfect for my Bacardi campaign. Using the Bacardi logo shaped ice cubes within the tray, so the customer can make their on, as well as the Bacardi shaped ice cubes being involved in the adverts as well. Making the potential consumer feel part of the campaign.

Here these two adverts are using ice cubes to portray a hard hitting message. The one on the left has a person lying dead amongst ice cubes, at the bottom of the glass, portraying the message of that almost half of adult drowning deaths are caused by alcohol. The one on the right is an advert for a sperm bank company, so they are using the ice cube tray, to suggest that they freeze your sperm, like the frozen ice cubes with the babies in them, and like the melted one with the baby released, that is just like what happens when they release the sperm in to the woman, the baby is born. It is a clever way of portraying a simple idea.
